Training
A11yVets training builds real capability in your team, organized in four tracks:
Fundamentals and User Perspectives — How people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities navigate digital and physical spaces; assistive technology such as screen readers, switch devices, and voice control; the POUR principles; universal design, inclusive design, and compliance; and the business case and ROI of accessibility.
Standards and Legal Frameworks — WCAG 2.1 and 2.2; the ADA; Section 508 and Section 504; the CVAA; EN 301 549; the AODA; and Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) and VPATs — creating, evaluating, and interpreting them.
Role-Specific Technical Training — For developers: semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA, keyboard navigation, focus management, and accessible mobile apps. For designers: contrast, typography, predictable layouts, reading order, and accessible UI/UX patterns. For content authors and marketers: alt text, heading structure, accessible social media, and descriptive link text. For document and multimedia specialists: accessible Word documents and PDFs, presentations, captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions.
Testing, Evaluation, and Governance — Manual and automated testing; screen reader testing with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack; WCAG-EM evaluation methodology; and sustaining accessibility in CI/CD, vendor procurement, and internal governance.
Training is available both in-person and virtually.
